I did a search and came up with 495 hits. Gave up after trying to read the first three. Any help will be appreciated, Tom.

I went to a yard in Morganton, NC called Danny's VW parts around 5+ years ago. Good sized yard, probably still there. The address is 5339 Rain Hill Ch. Rd. Morganton, NC 28655. My friend bought a 78 Westy from him for reasonable.

I'm moving up to Hickory right after EveryBus, so I'll have to check those out...and of course will always be up for a "hunting" expedition!

Hey Ken, just want to stomp around and look see. No critical need for anything. I believe about shit turning into gold, kinda dulls the urge. I'm on the other side of town, just off Old Lenoir Hwy. Thanks for the offers. I look forward to meeting you. What say we wait till Spat gets here. Spat if you need help unloading, and if I'm not working, can help.

Thanks for the offer...I'm still trying to figure out logistics, but I'm pretty sure the garage, tools, and parts stuff won't be coming up for a few more months...
I'm pretty excited, though...everywhere I drive around there, on the back roads, I see old cars rusting in yards..even though it's all American Iron, there's a lot of stuff form the 40s-60s, not just 80s junk...I know there are VWs out there!

i'm very down for meeting and shooting the shit and/or making a yard plunder run. besides someones going to have to take him to El Paso so he knows where to get the kickass mexican food here hahaha. or The Tap Room for damn good beer.

TS,
i've lived all over nc in the 10 years i've been here and i gotta say i like this area the best BY FAR. beautiful country side scenery. decent cost of living. alot more laid back than larger cities(esp raleigh). a fair amount of stuff to do(hickory hops fest coming in april) and if theres not enough here for you to do then charlotte, asheville, and the winston area are all around an hours drive. i had planned to move out west. i've changed that plan now...ken....

My wife is from there, and still has family there, so I'm just starting to learn my way around, but would definitely love to meet some good VW folks, and learn all the hot spots once I get up there in a couple weeks!
Thanks,

Other than a dozen or so years I've lived my entire life in the Catawba Co. area. It seems we are getting more vdub people in this area in the last few years and I venture to say it's time we start getting together and get to know each other.

I live about a mile off 321 at the Loop at Rooster Bushs place.

No we were neighbors when I lived off Robinson Rd. on McCombs St. The turn to the right in the first sharp curve coming from the mall, was dirt then paved. I worked at the CC up from you for years.

I've been working 3rd for the past 5 years or so so I'm locked into getting together on the weekends but I'm starting to hate it and I'm ready for daylight hours again so it could change soon. But yeah I'm up for getting together so you guys work it out and we'll do it. There are plenty of parks in Hickory we could meet up at.

By the way i drive a 68 bug. Some people call it green, some call it teal, and I call it blue but any way it's one of them.

My last day at work is Tuesday, so I will probably not have internet until after EveryBus, once I get settled in, get things hooked up, new job started, etc...but I'll check back in at that time...
and y'all can always reach me from teamspatula.com

The wife and I are planning to be at Farmington, had to talk her into it, lol. Look for a 71 bus, black on top, red on bottom. Old paint, looks like crap but running pretty damn good. It's got a Gamecock license plate.
