hello i have done a few searches and looked around some build threads but didnt see what i was after.

I was looking at the bottom bag brackets on some air bagged type 1 swing axle beetles and was wondering what the length of the box tube/rod is that gets used is without the rod ends in? im away from my car at the present time and cant go get under and measure the distance. The ones im probably asking about are the airkwld ones they seem to be the popular ones.

I work right near a steel shop and was going to go buy some and cut it at work but didnt know the length.

please help me out great site also.

I don't have the airkewled lower arms but my car is bagged, I can get you my measurements on my lunch break. roughly 2 hours if that will help.

Yes, just the rod length(with out heim joints)
