So far have had no problems parking in parking garages. Go westy did a super job installing roof top brackets to hold solar panel. Today while entering the mall parking garage and one that I haven't parked in yet, the 2 bolt brackets bent and 2 big holes ripped open the fiberglass.. Quoted $490 to repair by will do for $280 repairing only the outside. I figure we can put something cool on the inside to cover imperfection. She's "westy" lifted too btw. So moral of the story... if your westy is lifted and has solar panel brackets on roof, watch out |

Fixed that for you.
That sucks, sorry to hear that.
I put a small sticker forward on the drivers side door that lists the height of my van and rack (7' 10"), so I (or my wife) don't have to think about it when approaching a low entry. So far so good.

That's smart! I think i will try to avoid garages as much as possible from now on unless it looks obvious to fit. Sooooo glad the solar panel wasn't up there!!! Have found that i don't really put it up on the roof but instead use the trip pod in order to easily change position to face the sun |

Wish to have taken before and after pics of the fiberglass roof damage and repair.. They did a great repair job!! Just need to do something about the patches inside that have the felt material gone. Any suggestions?
BTW, can someone explain how you post pics here on the samba? thanks |

Here is an idea for your top, just cover it with headliner. Not the simplest, but could look pretty cool.
