|
|
I just found a 64' SWR/BG sunroof standard. I know non deluxe sunroof buses are very uncommon. but just how rare are they? Ive read there were less of these then sunroof deluxes, Is that true?
Does anyone have production numbers for these over the years? _________________ No Coast VW Club

Sunroof standards are sweet. It does seem like most of them are '65 and '66's. It seems like most of the ones that I've seen are Velvet Green and White.

I can count on one hand the number of north american spec sunroof kombis that I have seen. I see more sunroof westfalias.
for current demographics, I would recommend that everyone look at the vintagebus.com registry. also enter every bus you can onto it so that others can search. _________________ .

I thought it was the year of the sunroof Bus at OCTO/VW ClassicS. I bought a 1962 Sunroof Standard 3 weeks before OCTO to drive over the weekend and then ship home if it didn't sell at OCTO. I thought it would be one of the earliest sunroof standards/kombis until I saw at least 3 or 4 Barndoor Sunroof Standards roll in to the host hotel.
Sunroof Standards are rare especially pre-64 buses, but rarity doesn't always make it desirable or worth any more$$$$. in this case I think it definitely adds value. _________________ New Vintage Specialist.
