These commercials were filmed back in 1992 or thereabouts while I was working there. I recorded them at home on a VCR when they originally aired. They aired on a Saturday morning auto show in different segments.
I just found the tape so thought I'd share.

You can tell how old the commercials are by the prices
You can’t touch floor pans and motors for that now. _________________ 51 Standard Split Window Bug

It was a weird shoot. I think we were told a couple of days beforehand so we were all just barely prepared. The guy showed up, put us in front of a camera and said "Go". No real rehearsal or any direction other than we all decided what to talk about.
The price changes are awe inspiring.
What strikes me the most is how many different parts vendors there were back then compared to now. It's an ever shrinking selection. I should really go visit them again next time I'm in Florida. |
