"Predecessor of the British and German-built Transit, the first production Ford to wear the "Transit" badge was a van built in Ford's Cologne plant in Germany. It was introduced in 1953 as FK 1000 (carrying 1,000 kg) with a 1.2-litre inline-four engine from the contemporary Taunus. In 1955, the engine capacity was enlarged to 1.5 litres. Since 1961, this vehicle has been called the Ford Taunus Transit. Production of this model ceased in 1965. "

Love the display. Very interesting interior. Looks to be insulated for transporting cheese or dairy? Refrigerated bus maybe? Extra vents.

11 window sliding door bus with huge, strange overriders.

Screenshot from The Pigeon Tunnel documentary about David Conwall (John LeCarré). That's him crossing in front of the bus.

Couldn't tell where this was, but there were a number of period Renaults and Fiats, so likely a French or Italian city. The architecture could have been either.

That's a pretty cool mini bike conversation built on a Schwinn Sting Ray bike frame. Never saw that one before.
