Where is the best to get these from, oval front=barndoor rear???

Hi Simon- Yes, I have heard that Oval Front are the same as Barndoor Rears. I have a '55-'59 Split Case Trans in my '53 so it was very easy for me to get my parts. I don't know the best source but I'm sure you can get them through Wolfsburg West, Vintage Parts, Koch's, etc. here in the States. It's probably just a matter of price as I'm sure everything is coming from the same supplier, usually P.P.I. Good luck!

thats true for the rears, this is what you need:

i just installed these in my bus a month ago and all is working fine.

fronts i dont know. mine werent pitted, so i didnt have to research it any further.
