Just purchased a '64 beetle, it's my first beetle and I'm learning tons. Recent receipt shows install of two Weber carbs. I'm trying to determine if these are actual Webers or a similar style and what the model is. I can not find a serial number visible. Please help.

Additionally, if anyone does knows what these are can you tell me what the recommended fuel pressure PSI is? I'm at 3.2.

Look around the base of the carbs right above the intake manifold gasket with a light and mirror.
They should be stamped with a size and model number hopefully.

3.2 Psi will be ok.

Look at the fuel pump diagram cover plates. If the carbs are Weber's, the cover plates will have the Weber name embossed in the castings.

Otherwise, suspect that the carbs are IDF clones from China. That's not really a bad thing, these day's.
