Could anyone hook me up with firing order for a 78 transporter if you were lookin down at it from trunk plz. Bus running rough and lost power. sounds like its missing(idling rough) an im hoping its my bad tune up . need for work torrow help!!!!!

Staring down at engine from access lid as you stand at back of bus:
#1 is front right, #2 rear right, #3 front left, #4 rear left.

Distributor should have #1 facing rear sort of towards the engine hatch striker plate, now go in a counter-clockwise circle from there #4, #3, #2.
That's your firing order.

Also when the bus is running wiggle the wires that go to the fuel injectors and see if the engine starts running smoother if you have fuel injection. Mine was doing that recently and #4 cylinder FI conector wasn't getting a good signal and when I moved the wire going to the injector the engine started running fine. So I cleaned the terminals and no problem anymore. Just something you might look at to help you out.

More specifically if you pop the cap the rotor will be facing a notch in the top of the body of the distributor.
