I'd really like FM in my 1962 Ghia. I'm finding it hard to locate the proper Sappire II / Bendix 2FMB radio. SO, can I put this German Blaupunkt Radio Type Frankfurt in its place? I can change the knobs to IVORY for a better look, right?

Sounds like it should work, but your ebay link does not work.

Ed,

I've got an early seventies Blaupunkt Nurnberg. It is fully functional, including the dial light. Am, Fm, and shortwave. It would cost alot less, e-mail if you would like pix.

Ed,

The best place to search for old Blaupunkts is e-Bay Germany. Do an e-Bay search for "oldtimer blaupuknt". That will usually pull up a page or two.
If you don't speak German use this link tp translate. http://world.altavista.com/ .Copy and paste the ad text into the window and select German to English. I bought my Nurnberg for $5.80 and my Frankfurt for $14.00 there. Shipping was $29.00. I have also bought other parts there. Shipping was about twelve days.
