Syncro models suck air from a tube system high up in the right pillar. Just FYI, home made attempts at longer air intakes to get to air outside the engine bay can result in a loss of power from air friction greater than the benefit of the cooler air. Be on the lookout for such systems that use corrugated tubing for ease of universal installs, for example.

Point was someone's already developed an intake that pulls in fresh air for your exact vehicle and engine. Copy or buy used parts. _________________ 1987 2WD Wolfsburg Vanagon Weekender "Mango", two fully locked 80 Series LandCruisers. 2017 Subaru Outback boxer. 1990 Audi 90 Quattro 20V with rear locking differential, 1990 burgundy parts Vanagon. 1984 Porsche 944, 1993 Toyota LandCruiser, 2002 BMW 325iX, 1982 Toyota Sunrader |
