The wife and I are taking a road trip to Missoula, MT to watch Pearl Jam at the Adams Center this Sunday, we are leaving Boise Saturday morning. I was wondering if any locals here on the samba know of any good places to camp that are near the campus. Dont know the schools rules for overnight parking lot camping. I looked at the camping and traveling index sticky here but there is no info for Missoula, MT. Any help would be great and if your going to the show, let me know, maybe we could meet up and share some beers.

Already tried this, nearest spot is 20+ miles away, need some Missoula local help. I try to stay away from the KOA's. I'm trying to stay close to the campus. Maybe there is a Walmart close.... _________________ ShultzRoadHouse

If there is a Walmart in Missoula my guess is that it's on Reserve St with all the other big boxes. I bet you could camp in a lot of spots in town if you left the top down. How is it that I live so close yet never heard about PJ coming to town? Make sure to stop at Rockin' Rudy's - a great music store south of campus. _________________ '91 Westfalia GL Automatic (GTA "Turbo" Rebuild w/Peloquin) and 2.3L GoWesty Engine |

I have camped in neighborhoods around Missoula on many occasions. You should be fine to camp in the University's parking lot, but Monday Morning they might start ticketing early. Stealthing it in Montana seems acceptable in most places. _________________ 87 Syncro Doka

I parked my tin top on a down town side street a couple months ago, no trouble. One night only.
