Really, you cannot see them? I can. What's up with that? _________________ "Two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." Albert Einstein

No problem viewing the photos...very nice! Looks like Fall is in the air. Coming form New England the colors aren't the same, but the aspens are nice. (they are aspens right?) _________________ '85 Wolfsburg Weekender |

Coming on fast! We got snow last night at the higher elevations.
Yes, they are Aspens.
The White Westy is Rhinoculips'. That is him photographing me... He has a powerful engine in it, and was dusting me for most of the first half of the drive, and I could not keep my windshield clean....thankfully I filled up the washer reservoir before the trip.
Ryan is a great guy also, and enjoyed meeting him. _________________ "Two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." Albert Einstein

Who's in the green Bay Westy?
A buddy of mine, Greg, here in Colorado sold his to a friend from Flagstaff. The Flag dude came up to Cimmaron this past weekend to pick it up.
Greg had that Westy for about 12 years if that's the one. Still can't believe he sold it, but now he's got a Split Westy so I guess it's all good. _________________ 1987 GL Sunroof

My neighbor (Colorado Native) waxes about the Platoro area each time we discuss camping trips. Great photos.
That heeler driving could be mine, in my van, if that van was a pop-top! _________________ 1986 Vanagon -- Syncro, Westy

Sean, that is Cody, a friend of Greg's friend Tony. Greg met them in Alamosa as I understand it. I am now working on it, as it has clutch issues, linkage issues, among others. Going to get it back on the road, so he can take it back to Flagstaff.
Greg camped with us on Friday night in Del Norte, CO. _________________ "Two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." Albert Einstein

My first time in the Platoro area. It is really nice, and not far from Taos....will be back up there again with the wife.
That heeler is a German Shepherd, Aussie, Heeler Mix, 95lbs and a great travel companion. Yeah, he does like to drive too. _________________ "Two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." Albert Einstein

Thanks!

You will have to come up next year. Plan is either to do Valle Vidal or somewhere closer to the 4 corners...Medicine Hat? _________________ "Two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." Albert Einstein

Stellar pics and glad to see the split/bay/brick folks play together
Still too 'partisan' for that to happen very often in the PNW. |

IT's a good crowd. Nobody we hang with cares what you drive, just as long as you drive it. It's better than sitting at the shows. We drive them. The split guys are always envious of the vanagons anyway. just kidding. All good folks. Great trip check it out in the split forum for lots of pictures. _________________ 86 bostig syncro tin top
