I've got a pair of slot mags on the front of my bug, and for the life of me I can't find anything out about them. There are zero markings on the inside or outside of the wheel. None at all.

Most slots that I see have 5 slots and not 6, and the ones that do are rounded.

Any helps is appreciated!

Thanks!

I did a quick search on the classifieds, and only 1 posting showed up. A pair in decent shape for $300
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1316069

Are they really worth that much in "good/decent" condition? Because mine are super clean, with fresh tires on them. If they're valuable, I'll consider selling em so I can get the wheels I really want... Twisted Evil

If you know anyone whose got a set of 4 western wheel turbines (like these, but not fully restored $850 ouch) I'd be game. Nothing in the classifieds

The Wheels are "NOT" Performance Industries, I've never found any info of this company advertised in magazines, registered, etc.

The Wheels are PACIFIC ITALIA INCORP. ... Wheel name "CARRERA"
They made these for various applications with 4 and 5 lugbolt pattern.

you can see the differance in the first pic, compared to the pic of the magazine, looking at where the lug holes are compared to the D shaped holes in the rim design. In the magazine, they are all in the same area of the D hole. In this guys at the top, 2 lug hole are inbetween 2 of the D's, the other 2 are in the middle of the D

It's still a different wheel as you can see the center is raised in your pic and the one's in the first post are not Shocked and also the offsets are still different and the position of the lug holes are different also atleast from what I can see but still nothing to argue about "cool wheels" Wink

All the Wheels valve stems line up with a lug hole, in the photos posted.
I had another set but the offset was dished for Type 1 Beetle, where they wouldn't fit the Type 3 rear fenders. They had the original "PI" Center Caps.

They look similar to the turtlebacks, but aren't offset like the turtlebacks are.

So, is the court in agreement that they're performance industries?
