Under the accelerator pedal there is this little black box screwed to a bracket with two wires running to it. The part number on it is 003.927.211 and it has the word hartmann written on it next to a vw logo. Can anyone tell me what this is and where to get one. |

I think it is the kick down switch but with the top broken off any help would be great. |

If you type your part number into Google Search it shows as a 924 Porsche kickdown switch? _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

I would suspect that it is the same as a Type 3 switch, but others may know better.
There was a Type 4 sitting at Parts Obsolete in Mcminnville a few years back. I think it may have had an automatic, not sure those as the tranny had been pulled before I came upon it.

If its just the switch inside of the box it should be the same. I will look it up in the book tonight. If its the whole assembly they are totally different. Ray |
