Hi,

Is a complete steering, column, shaft and box from a wrecked 66 Ghia compatible with a 66 bug? And if not, what parts can be fitted on the bug ?

Thanks,

Bernard

I think you have to flip the steering box bracket when going from ghia to bug.

Ok for the steering box. What with the shaft and column? The reason I am asking this is beacause of the Neiman on the Karmann T14... If it fits on the bug, I will buy these parts.

1966 Ghia & beetle steering column, tube & box are all the same. As VW Steve stated, the lower clamp/bracket for the steering box may need to be flipped around. There are two small crescent-shaped cut outs on the bracket/clamp. These need to be lined up with the nub on the front beam for alignment for proper angle of the steering column
