I just had to go have a look.

My vent widows between my 84 and the 89 are the same. Different moldings but same sized glass.

As for the rear, we are talking about rearmost glass right? In rear quarter?

Not 100 percent sure, but my 84 should be exactly the same as your 80. I just installed a set of later style glass / plastic vent combo from a 90 MV. Used the newer style gasket, pain in the ass but fit perfectly. So my logic says all rearmost glass openings are same size, therefore glass is interchangeable.

Anyone can chime in and tell me I am wrong.

All the windows are the same except for the sliding door window. The sliding door window changed in 84/85.

Check tints as well.

thanks, im assuming you can't modify the later model slider window to fit in a 80 van??? yeah i can't find any non tinted wing window. i might have to do both the wing and roll up window to match it up.

I have an 83.5 Riviera model. My slider windows are 1/2. I am putting jalousies in late next spring and then my sliding windows will be available if that helps. I may put a smaller slider in the rear passenger but I don't know yet. It's a different size overall than the middle windows.

It's funny how different people prefer different windows. On my old '72 bus I changed out the Jalousie windows for sliding windows from a '73 Riviera. I always hated the Jalousie windows because they rattled and didn't seal well enough to keep the cold breeze out when camping in the winter.

I had previously helped a friend do a complete clean-up and seal replacement on the Jalousie's on his '71 and knew that I didn't want to go thru that torture again.

The ability to leave the windows open in the rain for ventilation was a nice feature, but the downsides were enough to get me to remove them. I also had a guy walk into one of the half-open Jalousies at a music festival and cut the heck out of his shoulder. I felt kinda bad for him, but that didn't really have much to do with my decision to ditch them...
