i think i have an early split tool pouch and tools. i am curious about the homemade-looking screwdriver, pictured...does it look like an original VW tool?
Could someone post a picture of what an original early 50s Split tool pouch looks like?
thanks, Zen

This is an original set I think.

The homemade looking tool in yours might have been used to lift the tire from the rim for changing a tube.

still far and away the best tool to change a sparkplug in the car, the original sparkplug wrench.

This pouch appears to be different also. i have seen ones in the past, that were a dark olive green canvas type material and this one is very similiar to the seat cover material...light brown with darker brown lines in it.

Do you think the tire tool is VW originally?

No, never seen before.
And it looks pretty raw crafted.

The PO said the odd screw driver tool is an original tool for VW type one prior to 1949...can anyone confirm that?

Also, i had a tool kit from a 1950 11G, back in the 70s and it looked the same as the one pictured...kind of like the seat material...are their any tool experts here?
