I acquired a couple of 6v MotoMeter temperature gauges for my 6v bugs. Does anyone have a line on where I can acquire 6v heat sensors that will work with these gauges? _________________ 1951 Hoffman standard sedan

Temp sender will be an NOS or used item. Good hunting to you if you chose only to go with the original sender.
You might want to talk to this seller, have seen him selling early gauges with modern guts & sender to work.

One problem is:
some old gauges til around 1970 need PTC senders, not the common NTC ones.
The next:
the axle on some old gauges is not centered. So it´s not possible to integrate new common inner "material" into old gauges which would go along modern NTC senders. |
