74 super

Can anyone tell me, or show me a picture (I searched) of the steel brake line coming out of the front port of the master going to the "T" fitting on the framehead? Trying to decide if it goes over or under the control arm. I think over, but would like to see how high over the control arm it goes. Body is off, and I want to make sure I stay below the tierod when i put it back together.

Thanks

Never mind, I found a picture from Google images that brought me right back here to the Samba, but found the picture for me. Even worse, it was in a thread that I commented about this very picture about two years ago. Getting old sucks! Confused

I don't think that picture is the stock way of doing it. i believe it comes off the master and turns to the center of teh car and runs between teh framehead and teh control arm mount and attaches to the tee at the left port in the pic. the top port goes to the passenger side.

From the diagram above you look to be correct, although the layout of the front line to the T-fitting is still not too clear. I was thinking of positioning that line over the frame head for better protection anyway.

The tube coming from teh master cylinder runs along the framehead flange. As long as it is inboard of the control arm hinge point, it should be fine.
