Finally got around to finishing up the motor this week and man is it ever sweet! Did at least an hour on the stand fine tuning, changing the oil a second time and rechecking the valve settings. Let me tell you, someone is going to get a nice engine out of this show..

Jingle Bugs Rock 2013 gave-a-way a turn key 1600cc dual port engine!
And The Winner was:

And I want to personally thank Eddy from the Lakeland VW Classic, the largest VW show in the Southeast, for donating the engine. Yes, it was used and we did spend over $500 plus having other parts donated by our sponsors to rebuild it to one fine Christmas present. Eddy was actually at the show and at the last minute offered to match every new ticket sold to help buy next years so that everyone was getting two tickets for the $5 being charged to those who were trying to improve their odds of winning. Everyone who came to the show of course got a free ticket as well.
And let me take just one more moment to thank Eddy. There was a young lady at our show who had just turned 16 and she and her family bought around 30 tickets trying to win the engine for the 1973 Super Beetle she is restoring as her first car. We announced this prior to the drawing and when she did not win, Eddy walked up to her and told her not to worry, he was going to give her one! Eddy, you are the man... What a great heart this guy has. If you have never attended his show, he gives away a free rail every year at his show which is being held this year on March 14, 15, and 16.
