I've read numerous threads on air shocks on rear of beetles and ghias. What about T3's
Please people shed some light. I just wanna raise rear 1-2" for tire clearance.

Then do it the right way and adjust your torsion arms.
Air shocks and coil overs on Type 3 rear ends are a great way to snap off the shock mounts.  Those points are designed for the damper, not to bear the load weight of the car. Been there- done that.
