So I got my engine running but the clutch would not engage/ disengage while the engine was running. Reluctantly I had to pull the engine off to see what the problem was. Everything seemed to be put on there fine so I was a little perplexed. Then I tried to put just the clutch disk on the shaft of the tranny and notices that it did not go back into the splines very far before it got stuck. Thinking that it should have been a little better for I started to do a little research. I have a daikin clutch and it shows this clutch is for 3/4 24 spline shaft. All others I looked for are for 13-16 24 shaft, therefore I'm assuming I have the wrong size. So a couple questions. Should the disc slide all the way back to the end of the spline without binding? Second is 13/16 24 standard for 002 bus tranny with early throw out bearing? Lastly can anyone recommend a good clutch that has this spline size that will work with kep pressure plate and a lot of ponies? Thanks for taking the time. |

Disk should slide full length of splines.... Stock (OEM style) disk for 002 transaxle should be fine.....
