This was at our local VW show today. It's got a VW Industrial 40hp engine.

Cool. Ya, I saw a 1967 Sled with a aircooled Beetle engine for the motor, it was a dual seater, and quite slick!
How was the show other than?

Sucked... I worked all year on the show and the weather report this morning was for a chance of drizzle and rain late at night. It started to drizzle at 10:00am and at 11:00am it started to rain. The field was turned into mud by 11:30am. At 12:00 we did some "speed" judging and i was home by 1:30pm... soaked to the skin.

We still had 90 cars and most participants understood that we counldn't control the weather.

What a let down, but it's time to start working on next years show.

Here's what the dash plaque looks like.

Weather is always a issue - that sucks, better to spend your sunday afternoon at a show then at home on the couch though. Plaques came out good. Its hard working for preperation, and I know some people don't care. We put alot of work into our shows and for the past three years (excluding this year) I was up at 5am in the tent trying to get everything organized to make sure its a hit. Registeration was between 8-11, we had a line at 8! We had 180 show appx, with watercooled, but we always have fun! Well, Im out of her...take it easy.

That's a really awesome dash plaque! Sorry to hear it rained. Always sucks when that happens. The weather should know better not to rain on a show day!
Oh yeah..the vehicle in question..um, very interesting...

I left around 11:30 when it just started raining too much but you all were great and my hat off to you for your dedication. When you see people in rain ponchos still manning the tables and running around with clipboards and you see people still showing up in their rides in the rain it means one great bunch of guys and gals in that club.
