Ok.....I'm in the need to repair my sidedraft Carb.
Check on the internet and find a advertised supplier.
Having been in the Auto trade for many yrs referred to my old catalog and submitted part numbers that was needed.
They responded next day that my numbers did not work while nicely giving me an updated blownup of my carb and the NEW superceded numbers.
That was GREAT.
Followed thru with the NEW numbers and submitted my CC number for a purchase to be mailed to my PO Box in the US since I'm in Baja Mexico and mail is for the pitts when international.
So it's been a week now. Sent E-Mail yesterday requesting whether my request was being handled....did check my CC and NO charges have been made so far.
Having been in the trade for 28yrs do know a CASH or up front payment is appreciated and a SALE is being made.....that's the name of the game.
Can understand if one or two items are not in stock today but due soon can relate to that having it happen to me in my business yrs back.
An upfront response would go far in my book.
Wondering if I should just shine them on and check the Internect for another supplier.
Last Sept I paid a "SNAP ON" dealer for a small part for a air ratchett and I'm still waiting......so I do have patience.
Question in my mind is whether at my senior age will live long enough to get my stuff......oh well let's see what happens. |
