I hear a pecking? sound on my right cylinder head(solid rockers with swivel adjusters)I dont hear it when I'm driving it Noticeable on idle, what are the possible causes of this. I already adjusted the valves(.004). Put wavy washers as i noticed side to side play. Kindly enumerate so i can deal with it one by one.

I am assuming then that you've checked torque specs on the head, that you adjusted the valves at cold and assuming all those things it could be a number of things.
1. you have something bouncing around in the cylinder
2. cylinder is smacking into the head or the valves... but I suppose that really depends on what size engine, what kind of works been done to the head etc...
those are the bad case scenario ones I can think of... anyone have any other ideas? |
