Hey Guys/Gals okay so trying to put my front suspension back together after finally getting the ball joints pressed into the control arms! but okay this is what im working with, Bug Beam and Bug Control Arms, Im having a very hard time getting my new poly control arm bushings to fit into the ends of the beam!>? i have the long red ones that fit in to about the last two inches, where they seem to taper bigger and get hung up on the bearings at the end of my beam. do i have the wrong control arm bushings? or do these need to get pressed in to be able to be pushed in all the way with the bearings in place. thanks for any help possible! i want to drive it again so bad thanks matt |

When you go to the poly busings, you need to clean the old bushings/bearings out of the beam. You cant run them both. |

Something long, like a solid metal pipe can used to push the bearing out from the opposite side of the beam. We used an old piece of black iron pipe at our shop to push the old bearings out. _________________ OK Thang |

Are your old bearing actually bad? Most of the time by the time these bearings are actually no good. The rest of the beam is in pretty sour shape. PRior to removing the bearings inspect them carefully. I have seen a few front beams that were ruined in the process of removing these bearings Go slow be sure prior to action. Most front end alteration steps are non reversible |
