I saw that the car is up for sale for far too little money. Someone will be getting a wicked ride. I wish I was closer. Would love to have this car.

Been a lifetime ago since our last post. Thanks to all you guys. Car got sold to a cool dude from Ohio (Eric). Said he's working on a guys 58 sedan with a big cc CB engine.
Anyway it was a nasty rainy sad day. Sold for practically scrap price. No engine. Once again thanks from the Vaughn Bros.

did you send the new owner a link to this thread? are they a member here? hope they show up and start a new thread documenting their work, this car is too cool for us to lose sight on it's build! _________________ -pariah (just a novice from "that other VW site")

True..
I never knew it was up for sale. ...
Hate to read that it was sold and wont be completed by its own mad fabricators.
I fully understand and respect your reasoning.. time never stops..
Most times we all have to make the decision at some point what is more important.

Sad day for me.
Sage advise from someone who is on that road.
I spent the afternoon finishing up the little bits on my car. Still a bit to go before it goes on a quick trip. It will have been about 26 years since I sat in the driver's seat.
Plan is to drive the tires off it, as long as we are allowed to travel.
Vaughn bros. stay strong, peak in once and a while and give us a boot in the butt. _________________ I think he meant "rare", as in "not well-done" |

Always thought you would stop by one day. Always wanted to ride or drive yours. Out the dozens of cars thru the years ours became last. Well, last ain't quick enough. Might not be time for even a last car. Stay safe.
