Its the only rust on the car that goes through a pannel. Darn batteries.

Cut it out and replace with new metal. The only fix for that cancer is to get rid of it. Donor is best, make your own replacement is 2nd best.

I second that, it is the only "real" way to fix a rusted through panel like that.......alot of times the panel has become worse because the rust was merely covered up and not fixed properly.
