This is the first day, when I found her..
This is a VW Bus 1965, called Kombi here, and I will restore her from the beginning.
Your original engine is a cc 1.200, air-cooled boxer, gasoline-powered, 1192 cm ³ and maximum Net Power hp - 36.
Is a deluxe with your minimal details.
I'm very happy guys!So I need your helps for this restoration..Thx!

Cool man. Did Brazilian buses have pressed bumpers in 65 or did somebody add those?

You may regret buying that orange metal, I know I did. It is a bitch to weld because it melts much faster than the stock metal...... although being a brazilian bus, maybe the factory metal is as thin as that orange shit anyway?

Yes, these buses actually are made with vws outdated dies and patterns. The cargo doors are high hinge and have the barndoor inner structure. Lots of little details...

In Brazil, since the beginning of the construction of the bus until 1967, the bumpers are pressed.
And you are corect, this metals are very thin, but otherwise are very finished.
The tinker who's doing the bus already welded metal as thin as this, so he knows how to weld, I hope(hahah).

Thx for keep up with my posts, i will uptade when i can.

Cool man. Yeah, my problem was I was blowing holes in the replacement metal before the german shit melted! Very frustrating. The stuff welds just fine when you are welding it to the same metal. Did not have that problem with some of the higher quality metal I used.

Keep the pictures coming!

This is an advertisement from VW in Brazil, it is the same year of my bus, then it probably is the same model as mine.

I researched about this horn ring and I found that is not of the manufactures Volkswagen, probably any industry located in south america which resold as an accessory at the time of purchase of the bus ...
