I just replaced the alternator in my 1973 bay window, and noticed that the battery wire from the alternator has been cut. My question is, which terminal on the battery does this wire go to? I believe it goes to the positive terminal because it comes from the B+ post on the alternator, but I want to make sure before I hook it up in case I'm wrong.
Any help would be appreciated. |

Yup, positive terminal.
Logically, it wouldn't make much sense to connect it to the grounded negative terminal...
re: that cut wire - is this the pigtail found on some red battery cables? Any chance that the alternator B+ terminal got wired directly to the starter instead of the battery (which is OK, by the way...)? _________________ '71 panel, now with FI
