Hey everyone.
We are looking to do an indoor show and swap event in Jan 2013 at the North Carolina Fairgrounds in Raleigh, NC.
With this facility, we would not have an parking fees or parking problems like in the past at the Coliseum. Admission would be $10 with show car entry $10. Swap meet area would be reasonable as well.
Just like the other indoor event we have been at, once you arrive inside with your car, you will have to remain inside until the event is over.
Hours would be somewhere around 11-4?
Right now, this is just something we are checking into. We would need your support in order to make it happen. So your thoughts and sugguestions would be greatly appreciated.

Been there years ago. I think it is a good place.

| ok guys need a little more info as to weather to do this? this event would replace the shrines volksfest. we have done in greensboro the last 5yrs. we would be the promoters for the event NOT the middle man,as before.....please lets here from everyone....this is costly for us to do as we will be renting the building......thanks keith |

I would like to have a show and swap at the fair grounds. I like the Greensboro Show but it does have its draw backs. We won't be sharing the place with old American Iron, the Rice Burners, or ice skating. Not that this is bad but I like an all VW show.

Add me to the list. Greensboro just a bit too far, Raleigh will be perfect and by that time of tyhe winter I will have cabin fever and want to get the bus out on the road.

Thanks GUYS! We will have an event website soon on all the specifics for this event.
Hope to see you at the Farmington event this Sunday the 21st is Mocksville though!.
Going to be some great weather this weekend!

No problem on the craigslist ads. That is how we get it out to those that aren't on the forums.

Yes we will be having it again. The Date for 2014 is Feb 15th
We will be in the same location. Would have liked a bigger building at the Fairgrounds, but that just isn't possible currently.
Will be making some changes, but as many of you know, we maxed out the building last year, so you MUST Pre-Register for vending and show car spots.
We will be revising the website soon with all the details. So Stay tuned, but mark your calenders for the 15th of Feb. The 14th will be load in day. They will be having the new car show at the Fairgrounds that weekend as well.
