I rebuilding my 36hp, but the cam shaft gear it´s broken, but I need found this new, NOS or used.

Only founded 0 , +2 and -1.

Who help me?

try Matt @ http://www.aircooledresearch.com He usually has some redone camshafts available - he might have a +1.

No found camshaft stock with gear +1.

Well, I´ll can change by -1 or 0?

What it this? the size -4 to +4, what diference?

The numbers indicate a change in the pitch of the gear. By changing the pitch it allows you to adjust the gear lash between the crank and the cam to allow for variances in the distance between the crank and cam bores. Even if you pulled out a +1, there is no guarantee that it was the correct cam gear so you need to check the lash before you put the case back together. Builders typically have a few extra sizes on hand in order to fit the proper one for each motor.

But I have all original parts of engine, then I can change cam? for other size.

My engine is 36Hp

Even if you think its original you must inspect the gear lash when you install the cam. Some people switch to straight cut gear sets (crank and cam gears) which seem to be more forgiving but I do not have any experience with that.
