Here is what I am experiencing:
-Low idle
-Sputtering upon half throttle
-Low torque
-General Poor Performance
-In neutral has full Rev Range, in park...very limited rev range.
What I have done:
-Replaced Points and adjusted
-Added Rotella 15 w 40 oil
-Topped up ATF
- Looked for Air Leaks (havent found any obvious ones)
What I have found:
-"Holy" heat exchangers
- Oil Cooler seems "loose"
-Oil leak at the valve cover (next on the list)
Any ideas? Here is a video:

I adjusted the fuel pressure to 30 last summer. Is this a common (annual) adjustment?
And will my Bentley explain how to check charging voltage? |

Fuel pressure 28PSI
Minimum charging voltage 14.1 volts
Make sure both distributor advances are working. Adjust timing/ idle to 850 RPM (950 for automatics) at OPERATING TEMP, vacuum line off the can and plugged. Idle can vary + or - 50 RPM.
If all that is right, you might try a throttle switch adjustment per Bentley and test your MPS. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Got it home from work tonight with a bit of a limp. Idle so low that the gen light flickered. It was extremely sluggish and would pick up if I floored it, let off, floored it, let off at about a 2 second interval! |

Have you checked and adjusted the timing and idle speed at operating temp as outlined above?
You can test and diagnose all you want but if the basic settings aren't right you'll do nothing but chase your tail.
Add to that point gap adjusted to 0,016" _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

I had this on a carby squareback, can't quite remember but I think it was timing or ignition related? |

Checked timing, maybe off 1-2mm. Still not starting! Smelling fuel, hear the pump as usual. Tested spark at distributor w timing light, getting spark. Going to try at the plug now? |

Flooded.
Clean the plugs and check the oil for gas fouling.
What kind of spark plugs? _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Sorry tram, ran out if light, will check tomorrow!
Did have a long crack in the line running from the injectors on the left across the block to the other. Is this a fuel line or air? Would this cause issues? |

Yes, it will cause this issue:
That is a pressurized fuel line! |

That is what I figured...EEEEEkkkk glad I took it apart and found that! I would assume this could be a cause of these issues?
This 6.5mm line needs to be an injection line for force correct? |

We use standard reinforced rubber 5/16" fuel hose. It is only 30+ pounds pressure. _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

I think it is 7mm originally. The old clamps don't fit on the 5/16" so you need about 30 little bigger clamps & 22 feet of hose to replace it all. _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

Just checked with Canadian Tire and they sell it at 5.99/ft.
As for the air components, I may aswell swap it all now...I know there was a post with the total sizes, and length needed but cant find it. Anyone have an idea? |
