|
|
I responded to an ad on craigslist this morning. He had a 66 bug and he was looking for a trade. One of the items he was interested in was a canoe. I had one in my backyard that I had acquired for $20 a few years ago. I went out to look at the bug and it was nothing to write home about, but he mentioned an old bus out in his field. I asked if I could look at it. Well it turned out to be this. They sold their property and had to remove the junk vehicles. He was going to call his scrap guy and let him haul it off for scrap metal!!!!! I ended up trading my canoe for this bus instead. He said he put it in his field 40 years ago and used it for storage. Sweet score!!!

| I think so too! i want to get it mechanically sound. It has no engine or tranny. Ill buff the hell out of and roll it as is and fix the cancer as I go. Most of the interior panels are nice too! And, its never been cut! |

That body looks good for being outside for so long. The climate must be pretty dry out there. _________________ Don't worry; be happy. (Baba) |

| Awesome score! I can't believe people are still prepared to scrap these things. Can't wait for more pics of the bus, especially buffed out. |

| Its Turkis L380! The trans is gone, but the axles/gear reduction boxes and the attached differential is there. Ill post some good interior pics tomorrow, I have to clean some trash out of it. The head liner is decent, The rear seat and fron seats are there. Nice uncut dash and clean steering wheel. |
