It looks good, I am not a fan of tires mounted to the nose, but the emblem is nice. We had a custom emblem made for the bra on our 73. The bra hides all the damage caused by the front mounted tire it used to have.

I PREFER front mounted tires on Westy's and on std busses, I don't like them.

BUT - I like the fact knowing it gives you that little bit of extra protection where it counts too... I love the extra cabinet space in a westy when the tire is on front!

The trouble is that it sticks out further and higher than any part of the bumper. I think other drivers are more likely to accidentally smash your nose in the store parking lot because they get to close and hit it. I noticed vw moved the tire to the cabinet behind the drivers seat but still had the rear cabinet taking up space that could have been a bigger bed. Who hangs clothes anyways these days?

Nice, I had a similar one crafted by a girl on Etsy last winter. It's held up well.

I really wanted a glow-in-the-dark material but since the only place I found that advertised any (Sparky's V Dub/Threads to Treads) was impossible to contact and or sick for almost 7 weeks I went with the classic white on blue for our club's logo.

I dig the black on white though, definitely visible and will probably wear better than black in the sun/heat.

Nice work!

Nice job. It's big enough that everyone will know it's a VW.

BTW it's interesting how with each new era that VW kept going to smaller emblems. With some of VW's later model cars it's too bad they even had a VW emblem on them. Razz

Here is how we did our emblem cover.
