IMO, if an engine or body number is very close to the number given between two months, it could have been used in either month. But is "very close" 100 or 500 numbers or 1000 numbers away?
===========================================
For these "chassis numbers" at the end of a month; what would they have used for the last chassis for the month?
earlier-finished - all earlier are finished
xx12 -finished
xx13 -finished
xx14 - still working on it
xx15 - finished
xx16 - still working on it
xx17 - still working on it
xx18 - finished
Which is the last number for the "example" month?
xx13 because there are no gaps and higher numbers go to the next month
or
xx18 and all earlier numbers not finished go to next month?
===========================================
Are there any examples to show this?

if they've bothered to document it at the factory, it's likely exactly what they posted for engine and body numbers. Of course, there's the possibility that a specific body had an issue and was pulled from the assembly line before it got a motor, but who knows if they did that? |
