The sunshined on this dogs @$$ today while looking for some goods for the wife's tdi. I was really reluctant to go to the Vancouver yard, it's away from my comfort zone and the local yards I know so well!
My mission left me empty handed for the wife but I found this gem. I haven't been able to learn to much about as my day had more in-store than volkswagens.
It's a 1Z block w/ what appears to be an American made Bosch ve mechanical pump. I don't know any more than this right now.

That looks like a standard E-TDI pump. Hope you got a good deal on it, 'cause it appears to be fairly stripped of important stuff like injectors, inj. lines, etc. I'd also be concerned about the missing t-belt. Anyhoo, welcome to oil-burning madness _________________ Casey--

Casey,
you are correct it's a tdi. I saw the belt driven pump and jumped the gun, it was also missing the ecm and harness! You'd think I'd know what the 1Z looks like we have two of them in wagons
The belt was cut and sitting next to the car and some random other things. It was complete minus the injectors and lines.
Price wise wasn't a steal but a good deal.
In the future it will become an M, til then on the stand it goes to be pushed around and buried under other projects |
