Aircooled.net, CIP1 or So Cal Imports are where I usually find everything I need.

Lately I've been buying all my stuff from Ron over at Carcraftinc.com.
Parts are usually cheaper than everywhere else. Great service. Lots of hard to find turbo parts avail too. (like a turbo dump tube with a 90 bend.)
They got my business from now on. just wish they were on the east coast.

Chirco is in Tuscon I think. I've had pretty good luck with them. They have a well established "brick and mortar" shop and a website that has a good mix of stock parts and offroad stuff. |

Chirco's is cool. I ordered a good selection of stuff a few months back. When I had questions about a couple of items I called them and Joe Chirco took care of me.
Also Appletree Auto in Silver Lake MI is a great bunch of guys. I've been there and got toured around. I told the guy I was a n00b to vw and he took some time to school me a bit- in a good way.
I've also ordered stuff from Cip1 and only about 1/2 came in the package. They made it right and sent the rest of the stuff, but I got the feeling that they were accusing me of lying about it.
That's why Chirco's and Appletree are the 1st two sources for me. _________________ vw virgin in the process of having my cherry popped, an hour and a dollar at a time. |

I've ordered stuff from both Chirco and from Cip1 and have had some order issues with both...that being said, it wouldn't keep me from ordering from them again.
To explain; I expect that with any business, you will have occassional issues. Where the rubber really hits the road for me on that sort of stuff is how the company deals with you when the issue comes up. While in general, I prefer Chirco for selection of both stock and offroad parts and speed of delivery, they can sometimes be slow to respond to emails regarding order problems. If you call them on the phone, however, they take care of your problem right away, and in every case my problem was resolved to my satisfaction...good to know. I've ordered a lot of stuff from those guys.
With Cip1 I have only had one issue, and while the were quick to respond by email, and did look into the problem I had, ultimately, there was not a satisfactory outcome for me. To be fair, I only have the one episode to go by...if something similar were to happen again with them, with the same unsatisfactory outcome, I would be done with them.
I've ordered from Summit too...I had some self inflicted problems with an order that they were very helpful in resolving...they are "top drawer" in my toolbox.
A warning I think it is important to pass on; To be careful about determining the manufacturer of the parts provided by the supplier. I am no fan of Latest Rage stuff, and in my opinion, EMPI stuff is not reliable across their product line (some ok/good, some not so good, no surprise to most here). A lot of parts listed on websites are provided by these two manufacturers. If you are not sure who makes the part you are ordering, ask the supplier. If they can't tell you...pass on it. |

I'll throw in my .02 here as well...
If I need anything for either my '56 ragtop or my Deserter GT, mechanical wise, I always give Steve a call at Woflgang International. They built the engines in both of my VW's and they know their stuff. Steve even runs a Pauter powered rail at the Redding dragstrip and at the Bugorama's in Sacramento.
I try to support them first, being local to them. If I have to order something I've been known to use CIP1 also on occasion.

I'll throw in some seconds on Mooreparts and Wolfgang Int'l. I've ordered stuff from them with good results. Also dansperformanceparts.com. He is local to the Escondido area for you guys down there. Helped me a lot in the early stages of my car project. |

Dans has helped me quite a bit. I've talked to Dan the man more than once. I also buy some stuff from MoorParts and Chirco. Between those 3 I can shop for prices and they have just about everything you can think of since buggies are a hybrid cross between just regular bug parts and some specialty stuff designed specifically for buggies. |
