Ok I decided today I'm going to do a resto , pan off mild custom to my newly purchased 65 bug. I'm going to pull the motor and replace it with a bigger one. The original 1200 will be saved in the corner of my garage. The pans and channels will be the first to be replaced. Then the motor tranny brakes and suspension. Perhaps a 2 in drop in the front. Not sure yet. New interior , wheels and perhaps paint. I'd post pics but don't know how to on this forum so gimme the idiots guide to post them. |

If you already have a photo host use the img button up above the text box when you are posting. That puts the first part of it. Then you insert the link to your picture and then hit the img button again. and the picture gets posted.
If you don't have a host follow the link below and follow the instructions there. Everett, the owner of this site, has provided a place to put your pics. The benefit to this method is the picture will always be here and even if you change webhosts the links will never break.

Floors have been cut out and the cleaning and prep work has begun. I'm going to do front disc brakes with a 2 inch drop and add the dual circuit master cylinder. Replace all the front end stuff with new....hoping to post more tonight. |

I ordered the empi disc brake set up with the drop spindles, my question is do I Need to have a narrowed beam or can I use the stock beam. And if the stick is ok what the widest tire I can use. I prefer to keep the stock beam. I intend to put aftermarket wheels on it in the future. |

Not a total disaster, I re-braced the car, took out the bad parts and now I await the sheet metal as well as the brakes. Stay tuned.! |
