Putting in new link pins from WW in my 58. Do I need to use the inner and outer dust covers? Whoever built the front end before me didn't use them. What is the proper assembly method? The Bentley manual is not clear (to me at least)...

If they are stock spindles you'll use the dustcaps, if the are dropped you will not.

The bus parts list has better photos showing all of the pieces used.
