Don't let the rattle can attack fool ya, this is an unwrecked, dry, low mileage body with updated gears and motor stuff. I had tons of fun putting this one together, had lots of good parts sitting in the shed like the 041 heads, some of you may have seen this car get passed around on CL. It came from a bail bondsman in Merced, then to a local guy here who pulled the fenders and acquired two junk motors. One early 1200cc, and super early possibly type 3 1600. Both of which I set aside. I found an H case w/savers and a toasted top end, a set of almost new FI p&cs, 041 heads, Scat intake with large port end castings, electronic ignition, alternator and some cheapo chrome tin. Also grabbed some new tires, changed out the chrome 356 wheels for some 65 and earlier smoothies... I think I have made a good driver out of this stepchild. This car has some cool cal look details like who can resist a double roller timing chain gear gas pedal! I don't know who thought that up but it's awsome, Heres some before/after type pictures.

This is why the top end was toasted, I can't figure out what the hell they were thinking, except maybe they wanted all the cylinders to run as hot or hotter than #3 Laughing

Looks like a nice ride. I like your pride in it and I hope you enjoy it for a long time.
