August 22- Crofton Maryland VW drag races and car show

With the dismissal of the fall Bug Out, hopefully this event can pick up steam and grow into something big. Two years ago the VW Heritage Series (which is a VW race only organization) went to Capitol Raceway in Crofton Maryland and we had a large racer turn out. Unfortunately in 2014 we got rained out. The track owner and operator expressed an interest to grow the VW stuff so here is our chance.
New for 2015 will be a top 20 or 25 car show with possibly some "BEST OF" awards.
The track is still trying to figure out all of the details but is looks like all VW, Audi and Porsches are welcome. This will be a track run event and will be year 1 for a car show of any type as we are just trying to build and grow. Nothing to major for 2015 but there is hope and willingness to expand.
Also we will be running the VW Heritage Series I/Gas which is a 0-7.99 in the 1/8 mile. There is also going to be a heads up A/Gas eliminator that day which will be all VW.
Other on track action will include some V8s running an all stick shift class which will provide other entertainment in the down time.
Over all we hope to have a good blend of cars and people and hopefully an event for you to attend since the beloved fall Bug Out is gone.
