Just wanted to put this out there. For anyone looking to replace their type 4 thermostat Awesome Powdercoat has a great option. If any of you are like me and don't want to spend $80-$100 for a used thermostat or $180-$200 for an nos unit then contact Clark Callis with Awesome Powdercoat and he will make you a brand new one. He has different companies make the pieces needed and he assembles them. The next best thing to made in Germany is made in the USA. These thermostats come with a 2 yr warranty as well. These may not be an option if you are in a hurry but if your bus is like mine then who knows how long its been running without a thermostat. If you can wait a while I feel like this is a great option for a brand new thermostat with a warranty! Thanks again Clark, its guys like you that make the non-existent exist again! Keep up the good work, Dan.

I've had mine for 6+ months. It's better than NOS hands down. If you haven't noticed it functions better than an old NOS thermostat that's never been used.

This thermostat will quite likely be the last thermostat I'll ever need.

That's good to know, I haven't had a chance to install mine yet and I've never had my hands on an nos unit. Thanks for the insight I could tell by the construction that I had made the right call!
