Yes, please add my current project car to the Surviving '66 registry as well:
Owner: Digger89L
Car: 1966 VW Beetle deluxe
Model: 113
VIN: 116 489 172 (Dec. 65 mfg date)
Engine: F0 327 111 (Oct. 65 mfg date)
Original Exterior Colour: Bahama Blue L519
Original Interior Colour: 76 Black Leatherette
Note: the car described above is not really "portrait worthy" at present. The one shown in my signature is another exact-same model I owned in 1969 ..no longer have VIN info on that one. |

I bought this '66 right here on thesamba in 2012. The ad had 15000 hits. Sixty six Bug is a little new for me, but I LOVED the patina and that is why I purchased it...VIN: 116745930. I love it just the way it is.

Just bought this in-serious-need-of-restoration sedan. The last time I bought one of these was in 1966. I've got my work cut out for me. VIN# 116495570
