When I was preparing to remove the motor in my Syncro I broke the transmission breather piece that is in the upper bell housing. It is a plastic L shaped piece with a rubber grommet that is right in the top middle of the bell housing. Can anybody tell me what that part might actually be called and maybe a part number? Also, If you have an extra I do need one!
Thanks!

Mine was broken too. I used the elbow off the vent tube that is fitted to euro batteries. Fitted perfectly.

The vent tube elbow from a European style battery.

Bronze 90 degree fitting from a hardware store works.

I bought all of the breather fittings from VW a few years ago.
Adding them to my vans and sold off the rest...in a matter of hours.
