Can anyone tell me why my 1.9 engine runs terrible in damp wet weather. When I come to a stop it idles rough and wants to shut off. If I don't pump the throttle it will shut off. It runs great it nice weather.

If the only difference is damp, wet conditions it sounds electrical. Check all your engine grounds, spark plug wires, coil wires.

When was the last time you replaced the distributor cap, wires, plugs?

Die Electric grease on all plug wires and distributor will help connections.

Get a squirt bottle and fill with water. Start the engine at night and lightly spray the top of the engine with your squirt bottle. If the plug wires are worn out, you should see a pretty good show.
