1986 Weekender with rear AC.

The other day my radiator fan would not turn off. I am aware that the fan runs occasionally even after stopping the engine. This was an unusual amount of time. Went to pull fuse #1 and found it melting way. I pulled it out with a pair of pliers and there was a pop. Now my radiator fan does not come on at the normal temperature... in fact it does not come on at all for cool down.

When I turn on the AC the fan kicks on.

I disconnected the resistor and tried to jump the terminals but nothing happened.

Would relay #5 cause this if it is bad?

Any help appreciated!

When I bypass the thermo-switch and jump the two outer connectors together the fan will run. Nothing happens when I connect the middle to the outer ones...?
