Will dual webbers fit under the engine lid of a Vanagon. Does anyone have dual carbs on their aircooled Vanagon? _________________ "So we went for a spin in the country

saw one with a single 2bbl webber in place of the air box when someone gave up on FI. worked ok, wasn't pretty and had a pretty scrawny air filter, but it fit.
I can't see duals doing much better than one, without headers and a cam. _________________ '65 standard bus

Nobody has had dual carbs on a Vanagon huh? I think I will be able to fit dual 40s under the engine lid. I might need to use the same air filters they use when they put Webers on Type3s.
jsdesigns, the type4 engine was never sold with a single carb, dual carbs will increase performance without a header and cam. But those 2 things would be even better. _________________ "So we went for a spin in the country
