Hi everyone!
I just wanted to show everyone my first and so far only bus. She is a '73 westy I bought her for $100 with the 1.7 sitting on the inside floor. I bought an '78 2.0 and smacked a single progressive on to get her home, but thats a whole 'nother story. Last january I installed an '83 2.0 with L-jet with the EGR stuff not installed, i bought the COMPLETE engine for $125 from a junk yard because I said I could use it for a "core" thats a girl mentality for you!
Anyways right now I am making a denim quilted interior for her (door panels, seat covers curtains etc. ) and installing a BN4 this coming weekend (s) and when it gets a little drier and warmer here in portland I will be repainting the top and installing my new canvas. but all that is still to come.
I am having a bit of trouble uploading my pictures so for now

Thanks I know Im a cutie and I match my bus!
BTW I do have an Aircooled engine, '83 was the last year they offered the Aircooled engine and half way through the year they changed to H20 and I have all the 1.7 shroud and tin on it becasue the stupid alt. braket was waay to huge to fit in the bay, there is a picture of the 2 fanshrouds on both sites.
Considering I got the engine for $125 with 150PSI on EVERY cylinder! who can complain?
I also used the 228 flywheel and clutch assembly AND bellhousing (IIRC the SR87 starter?) I am still running the '83 heater boxes (stainless steel) the only disadvantage is they are like 1/2 inch longer so I cant fit my rear bumper on, so I cant tow but eventually I think I will weld the heater ends from a spare round port heater boxes so I can keep the square port heads and nice stainless steel boxes
But my plans for this upcoming weekend are to install a BN4 as I dont have heat right now, and to insulate the front end as its natural air condiotioning.
Wow, That was a mouthful =D> But I know I could go on forever!!!
Whenever I get the time I will do an entire step to step procedure and all the parts I used to convert my bus, first the engine then the FI.
Which I can say Ill never go back to carbs!
Well maybe if they were like 48 Dellortos, but even then..whos got the $ to do that! _________________ Heather Winfrey (Woltz)

Ive got a whole album of pictures on the "fotki" link below...
Its ok I figured it would be a good time "give some more info"
It really wasnt to intensive since I had already done it with a '78 engine (leaked like a sive) I just had to do a lot of research for the FI. I also had alot of shops here in Portland answering all my questions too
Anyways, I will be selling the '68 soon as soon as I finish the top end rebuild, I also have a '71 fastback that I used 2 cars to make one good one, but the only thing is I really cant find soeone who really wants my '71 because its just a project, even though I have more than all the parts for it. If you know anyone whos interested (its listed in the classifieds - type 3) So i guess they are both for sale I want to get a really sweet (running) perfereably baby blue '69 fasty, but Im dreaming right now as I cant buy one until I sell these!!!! The horrible drawbacks of living in apts. _________________ Heather Winfrey (Woltz)

I am only 19 and this is only my 3rd vw and I know that sooner or later I will have a split window. I had the chance to drive a friend of mines ('65)and I was immeadiately in love, but considering Betty is my first Bus I love her lots and all the fun Ive had! Also As of now shes the only one of the 3 vws that runs
I call her a driving project
BTW I just uploaded some more pictures of her here:
http://public.fotki.com/vwdreamer
And lots of pictures where I bleached her top, and I just installed a CD player... now the front end stuff, heat and insulation! _________________ Heather Winfrey (Woltz)

Ok ok that wasnt meant to sound egotistic or anything, but thats what Ive been told
but all that really matters is that she is a volkswagen and Ive got to start somewhere right?! Yes even though she is a bay window with lots of work (mostly cosmetic) to be done Ive been driving her for almost 3 years now and Ive learned alot.
But she still is cute!!! _________________ Heather Winfrey (Woltz)
